Safeguarding Policy (Summary)

CANDO is committed to creating safe and supportive spaces for everyone who attends our groups and activities.

As a small community-led peer support group, we take safeguarding seriously and aim to ensure that all members feel respected, heard and protected.

We are committed to:

• Taking concerns seriously
• Responding appropriately and sensitively
• Following Welsh safeguarding guidance
• Promoting safe practice in all group activities
• Maintaining clear boundaries within peer support settings

If concerns arise, we will follow appropriate safeguarding procedures and, where necessary, contact relevant statutory services.

Our full safeguarding policy is available upon request.

 

CANDO respects your privacy and handles personal information carefully and responsibly.

We only collect information that is necessary for running our groups and keeping people informed about activities.


We:

• Store information securely
• Do not share personal data without consent unless legally required
• Only keep information for as long as needed
• Respect individuals’ rights to access or request deletion of their data
